Become highly employable by learning professional food and beverage skills.

This Introductory course is delivered by experienced industry personnel from The Swanston Hotel Grand Mecure. This course is suitable for Year 10-12 students.

The Course covers:

  • Restaurant styles
  • Waiter qualities
  • Personal hygiene/grooming
  • Customer expectations
  • Table setting and service
  • Tools of the trade
  • Introduction to wines

This is a non accredited program. Students will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Day: Preference for Tuesdays or Wednesdays (other days negotiable)

Time: 11.45am - 4.00pm 

Venue: The Swanston Hotel Grand Mercure, 195 Swanston Street, Melbourne 3000

Meeting Point: All students are to meet at Reception

Cost per student: IMVC member schools - $45 Other schools/organisations - $55

Clothing: School uniform or casual clothing and closed shoes (No Thongs)
