Community Education
The IMVC plans to build on our extensive experience in the delivery of VET programs to expand into providing innovative out of school community education programs, which meet government guidelines and broader policy directions.
The programs will target young people who are at risk from disengaging from mainstream education.
The young people will engage in an applied learning environment that encourages self exploration and community participation and develops creativity, self-expression and social skills through a variety of hand-on projects directed by the unique personal interests of the young participants.
The programs acknowledge the diversity of individual learning styles and seek to create and a safe environment where young people can build self-confidence through identifying and strengthening personal skills with the support of experienced and caring staff.
IMVC Community Education programs will be available in early 2011.
